It is unfortunate for Africa that other freedom fighters have not kept this in mind:-

ReplyDeleteJust remember that the media created an image of Nelson Mandela which is larger that life. The truth is he was a thug and a terrorist. The US forced the goverment here to implement one man one vote and gave the credit to Mandela so that we would not accuse the US of interfering in our government policies. What the US did not foresee was we almost completely stopped importing US products and mostly import Chinese poor quality products now.

DeleteThe media creates many myths and super powers have their own agendas. Mandela behaved differently to Mugabe and for that I am grateful. I am afraid that his successor reminds me too much of Mugabe and that doesn't bode well for SA, which makes me very sad.
